Digging for gold, children work in harsh conditions, paid with bags of dirt
Mon Dec 5, 2011

Digging for gold, children work in harsh conditions, paid with bags of dirt
Mon Dec 5, 2011
I worked from the age of 10 and was grateful that some adult was willing to exploit my labor in exchange for money to buy food and clothing We do not know enough about the circumstances of this family to lay blame on any of the adults and not enough to exonerate them either.
Drivers still want electric cars, Nissan says
Mon Nov 28, 2011
I purchased a Leaf in July and find that is pretty much the only vehicle I drive. Anything under 40 miles each way is very doable for me. Charging once a week is about right, but the drive to work is also just under 5 miles so a daily total of 15 with a trip to the market is what I do.

How do you think the government should address the federal budget deficit issue?
Wed Apr 20, 2011
The US has a problem, over 150 years, of spending 1.2 dollars for every extra dollar received. We literally can not afford to raise taxes.
What's the tipping point in gas prices for you to cut back on driving?
Mon Apr 11, 2011
I have an electric car on order due to gas prices. When that comes in we will cut our fuel usage by 75%.
Going digital may not improve U.S. patient care
Mon Jan 24, 2011
I help build electronic medical records computer applications. So, what is really the reason to put medical records in electronic form? Sure its 'cool' to be high tech and put the data in a computer and there are some nice functionalities available.
